I don't disagree on twitter being garbage, but it's still massive and necessary.

Nearly all of the recent posts on Gelbooru are either directly from Twitter, or from an artist who's main social platform is twitter.

Most of the stuff here comes from Pixiv.

The Japanese do really like twitter tho.

But many don't share the stuff on Twitter.

I wish people would stop uploading unsupported image formats to Twitter because that shit is getting auto-converted to pixelshit jpg every time.

Isn't it pathetic how obvious twitter's mass report problem is to everyone? I would be humiliated to run a platform like that

One lesson to take away is that it’s important for artists to have more than one venue to display their art.

Some artists I followed on Twitter have been banned from there, and have no backups on Pixiv, etc which is always a damn shame

Sadly not many artists do care about having multiple social media accounts because, honestly, is tedious having to post in all of them the same stuff and trying to be active in all of them.

I get that there are things like Zapier which do help, but isn't enough tbh.
