Now Viewing: gravity_suitTag type: None The Gravity Suit (グラビティスーツ Gurabiti Sūtsu) (Gravity Feature in Metroid: Other M) is essentially, an upgrade of the Varia Suit, further reducing damage taken when combined with the Varia Suit's defensive capabilities or it simply provides better protection and makes the previous suit's defensive capabilities obsolete. The main upgrade in this suit is it's ability to negate the effects of water, (which, in the Metroid Series, greatly reduces Samus' overall speed and jump height, regardless of whether you've obtained the Hi-Jump Boots, Space Jump, or Speed Booster unless the Gravity suit has been obtained.) extreme gravity, and in certain games or cases, lava or magma. Visibility while submerged in water is increased by Visor upgrades in the Gravity Suit. Despite it's resistance against lava and magma, other hazardous material such as Acid or Phazon (unless the Phazon Suit has been aquired) will not be resisted against and will cause damage to Samus' shields. (or Energy whichever you prefer.) The Suit itself is not in Samus Aran's possession as of the beginning of the game and must be found within the world, often being found within a submerged area usually before or after a Boss Battle and in the before cases often requires you to use the upgrade to your advantage in order to defeat the enemy.
