She is a CG Virtual_Youtuber who is the star of the Mirai_Akari_Project and debuted on October 27, 2017, and was one of the most prominent early virtual youtubers to emerge post Kizuna Ai's debut. Mirai retired from vtubing on March 31, 2023, but all of her content is still publicly available. She was designed by Kei_Garou, who is most famous for creating Hatsune_Miku. She is a cheerful and energetic girl who resides in a small house. She has no memory of who or what she was prior to starting her channel and part of her motivation in doing so is to learn more about herself. She spends most of her time indoors, but her videos will often involve her being given a task, usually by the channel's former main character Eilene, of some sort that will require her to interact with others, such as a survey or trying to gain more subscribers, with comedic results. For surveys, she commonly uses VR Chat and participants are from all over the world. The intro to her videos will usually be animated as if she were carrying the camera and recording herself, much like many real life vloggers do, whereas her outro depicts her in Rockman-style 8-bit sprites. While the decorations in her house started off quite sparse, she has gradually accumulated more material and she often hangs posters of herself, drawn by various fan artists, up on the walls.
