Mai has short_hair, green_hair which she often wears with two locks (short_hair_with_long_locks). She wears a green_dress with frills and a waist_apron. Her dress is decorated with bows and ribbons. She has green_eyes. She wears green shoes (green_footwear) with a pair of black stockings (black_legwear). Her hat is a kazaori eboshi (a type of tate_eboshi). Along with Nishida_Satono, she is based after Matarajin's two servants, Teireida and Nishida respectively. Like her mythological counterpart, she is depicted holding a bamboo plant in her character portrait. Satono and Mai are Matara_Okina's loyal servants. They used to be human children, but Okina's magic made them less human. They dance for Okina's sake and are essentially an extension of Okina's power. Mai is depicted as scatterbrained and quick to take action. Her abilities allow her to draw out one's vitality by dancing behind them. Notably, she's the only girl in the series to use the male first person pronoun "Boku". Do not confuse her with Mai_(Touhou) from Mystic_Square.
