Now Viewing: tsukimiya_ayuTag type: Character (月宮 あゆ) The female lead of Kanon and one of the most iconic visual novel heroines. She has brown hair, wears a hairband, mittens, a brown duffel coat and a winged backpack. She was created by Hisaya Naoki, who wrote her scenario in the novel, and designed by Hinoue_Itaru. Hisaya described her as the character he felt he grasped the best, but also the most difficult to write due to her lively nature. She is a nice, but strange and at times awkward girl who Yuuichi often literally bumps into outside of school. Although she is the same age as Yuuichi, she looks quite young, being short and baby-faced. She is much shorter than Yuuichi. She speaks tomboyishly, referring to herself as boku. Whenever she's flustered, she makes the cute sound, "Uguu~" As she grows closer to Yuuichi she reveals to him that she is looking for something important, but she can't figure out or remember what it is. Despite the seeming impossibility of this search, Yuuichi helps her out and in the process, remembers his past and she comes to remember hers. She also loves taiyaki. Due to her popularity, she is often parodied and homaged in other anime/manga and in Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai, Ayu's seiyuu Horie Yui plays a character who is a parody of her.
