You're all goddamn wrong. Poison was a woman then later stated to be of 'neutral' gender to avoid complaints stating that Capcom was endorsing beating up women. This did not translate over to English very well as we don't have popular fiction terms that match. Most people presumed due to the confusion that Poison was a transvestite male.

Poison is indeed a pre-op newhalf as seen on the concept art for the game Final Fight.
