You know, as disarming as Peacock can be, I don't have a leg to stand on. Still, I can understand the blind loyalty she receives.

Drawing Patty as a maid like Marie is popular, but was she ever one? Isn't Marie a maid because she got sold into slavery? Patty got mutilated instead.

According to the Skullgirls Wiki, Patty and Marie both dressed as maids because they were the oldest kids at their orphanage. (Patty is 13, Marie is close to that age), and it made them look older so the younger children would listen to them. The orphanage was not actually built for that, it was formerly a mansion owned by a rich nobleman. So they used whatever they could find there, including clothes. Marie and Patty both got sold into slavery later, but Patty was so defiant they dismembered her as an example to the other slaves and left her for dead. The Anti-Skullgirls labs found Patty on the brink of death and experimented on her. ...But don't ask why this particular nobleman had maid uniforms for pre-teen girls lying around.
