How come the transliteration of her name became "Taruko"? Why "k"? I understand that "子" is usually transliterated as "ko". But so long Sonico and Pochaco are written through "c" I guess the right transliteration is Taruco through the "c".

Sorry, I don't really know.
One thing I can guarantee, however, is that everybody spells Sonico's name that way because it's just Sonic with another o. Easy. However, there are a dozen ways to spell Pochaco wrong (Pochacho, Pochako, Poccako, etc.), but Tsuji's official romanization is Pochaco.
Taruko doesn't have an official romanization yet, but it will be probably be here alongside her first wave of merchandise, assuming it will be made. Other spellings outside of Gelbooru include Talcon, Talco, Taru, etc.
