iirc the announcement claims it's a sequel, so it may very well be some kind of time travel hijinks.

Looks to be a Terminator 2 type story. Asagi and a bad guy might be sent back to save the younger and brasher Asagi.
Would guess one ending will have both young and old Asagi being bred together.

The Terminator thing could be cool for sure.
If present Asagi loses then young Asagi will loses (*), if young Asagi loses then present Asagi lost.
The bad ends will be around the corner.
And yes, I hope full bad ends for they both (**).
(*) except if young Asagi saves future Asagi or she saves herself.
(**) young Asagi can be raped just in bad ends.
Even I think they could do a cool new gameplay around the "double king" in the "chess".

It could be funny if the good end is; they both beat the evil in the past, then Asagi rewrote the present/future, What happened then? mind screwing.
