Finn is like the Avatar, he's a really a spiritual entity that takes a physical form, dies, gets reincarnated but can remember previous lives as well as retaining some personality traits so his death will not be the end of his story.
Not entirely sure how Jake would die though. He can increase organs like his liver to increase their effectiveness so he's effectively immortal like Deadpool.

Remember watching the Red Throne episode when it came out and thinking meh. But now, it's kinda obvious how bad it was. I think it's gotten better again though. At least compared to that.
