Good to see another KOF fan. We're a minority in America. Most SNK fanboys are either in Mexico or China. Got into KOF pretty late when my local arcade got KOF XI, but I prefer og 2002 over that and 98. The games just lack balance ever since the Ash Crimson Saga, so I stay away from the remakes (although I wish they'd bring back the tag mechanics). XIII was definitely when that was at its peak.

I liked Unlimited Match, and they did balance it fairly well with the Tougeki Version, but I think they messed up by nerfing some characters a little too much, to the point that the top tier just dominates everyone else. Same with the 98 remake. It's a perfect example of "If it ain't broken, don't fix it."

My fist KOF was 98, that intro is burned into my mind. Also seeing Mai's bouncy bewbs on that KOF is one of my first memories of me thinking, uh, bewbs are great. 2002 is a legend. I am a Kyo player, i also play with K. But i am better with Kyo.

Boobs are awesome. They were a lot more popular back then compared to the lower body obsession in popular culture today. Although I guess there was always universal sexual attraction to Chun-li. I'm unironically a devoted Mai player though, at least in the games she's good in. Athena is good too, and I wish they would put Momoko in another game and buff her, too, but I guess she's too loli-tastic for the series without creating legal problems.

2002 K' was my first character ever. I thought he just looked so badass and his flames were even cooler, but sadly I'm not very good with him. I know Iori is an even bigger fan favorite. So big that they had to rewrite his flames into the story because the fanbase wouldn't stop bitching.

He and Kyo are absolute bishōunen, but not to the extreme that Benimaru is, for whom I give credit for starting the trend, which led to the creation of Ash Crimson. I swear, the Ikari Warriors are the only ones with balls in those games.

Sadly, I'm not that good with Iori either, and my Kyo is alright. My team in 2002 is Angel Kula and Whip. I also like spamming with Orochi Chris. Too bad Duo Lon wasn't created until one year later, or I'd be really cheap with him too.

Now is the thiccc movement. Mai and Chun-li are both great sex symbols. post #688972
I was always a Kyo player, i am not good good. I never tried to master the games, i love them, i can win and get to the end of the arcade mode no problem. But i cant play like a pro. My team is usually Kyo, K and Terry.

Not a bad team, even from a pro perspective. Terry's not that great, but he's fairly good in 98, but kinda middle-tier in '02. Picking a good team only matters if money is involved anyway, but you still have to pay to even play the game, so skill is important no matter what.

The only fighter I've ever been good at was MVC2. I got good enough at it in the mid-2000's when the tourney scene was at its peak, but never competed, even though I was on that level. It's just not worth the hours you have to put into it.

And yeah Chun-li especially is even drawn thicker and curvier compared to the SF2 days. The ultimate testament to big booties is how Rainbow Mika became such a hit in SF5, when she was a very overshadowed character when she debuted in Alpha 3 which came out in 98. I have a feeling the sex appeal is mostly responsible. She would have been viewed as a chubby wrestler two decades ago, and Cammy would have been considered the hottest, of all people.

I dont check tiers or things like that, cuz i play for fun.
MVC2 has a very nice and simple fighting system. In that one i play with Cable.

It also helps thar R. Mika has a nice cleavage with big tiddies on the selection screen... also that zoom in to the back when she does that special, oh boi. She is a new sex symbol for the youngsters.

Yeah, from the looks of it so far, she gets so little screen time compared to what fans have been hyping her up to be. And that's not getting into any spoilers.

The horny fans would have you think it's "Tall Lady: The Game". Alas, it's not quite that.

Yeah I used to pay attention to the Shoryuken community. They're the guys behind the EVO tournament, but they're so elitist, just having a dissenting opinion makes them call you a "scrub". Now the Smash community is adopting the same mindset and it sucks balls.

There's more to gaming than just winning, and a lot of underused characters can really shine when the right player finds tricks to them. Definitely not a good idea to obsess over who is the "best." That will ruin the fun, and the point of the game.

I used to play Tekken, and I fucking loved using Yoshimitsu. I had a pretty decent 50/50 win ratio, against my friends who studied and practiced WAY HARDER than I did. Then I discovered he's the worst character in the game, and that I could have won way more if I had just wanted to play as another character. Really ruined my mindset.

Then again, playing the game just because you like a certain character is probably not worth the practice you devote to it. Only study frames and matchups if it's actually helping you. I've seen people magnify the importance of strategy to the point that they swear it's the only way to win. Bullshit. There are still plenty of good players who pick it up naturally.

And yeah, I have a life outside of fighting games, so yeah of course I'm not going to be the best.

Mika... what more can I say, other than what already has been. Her fandom has grown massively, although if there's one criticism it would be she's become a lot like the panty fighter/Dead or Alive girls, where she's all sex and people generally ignore her moves or story or anything else.

Don't like that more "politically correct" people are trying to censor her, either. But hey, I'm a massive fan of women's wrestling and facesitting, so she's definitely my fetish. There's nothing wrong with combining art and porn.

I find boring the pro scene of fighting games. Too much crap.
Because the Tekken games avoided PC so much i never had the opportunity to play those games when they were starting. I dont own any console, just play on PC.
Not a fan of censorship either, she had a few things censored. Camera angles, boob jiggle.

I would avoid the Tekken community if you don't like the drama of pro gaming. They're the WORST. Good ass series, though. SF censorship really has always been around, but the jiggle physics and breast sizes were really toned down when they switched to 3D. The expansion of their series from arcades in the 90's to a bigger audience online meant they couldn't keep making female characters who appealed to desperate shut ins. Really all anime and videogames used to have totally shameless fanservice. Nowadays it's not allowed, even if paradoxically there's more porn of it than ever before.
