I dunno Anon #2306296, I'd explain why the Belmonts have their powers (they are said to be stronger than regular people and have strange abilities) and why they always seem to be the ones have to fight Dracula.

Though I don't disagree with you about Legends being kinda crap, Lament was pretty mediocre at best and Drac being Leon's former best friend that becomes a vampire because of a magic rock is dumber I think.

The whole thing about the Belmonts being descendants of Alucard (and thus Dracula) also makes quite a bit of sense when you consider Order of Ecclesia, where a big plot point was about needing Dracula's own power in order to kill him.
