I mean, it's not the first time they got the moniker, "Crapcom".

The question is how will they tackle this. I grab any appealing lewd SF6 mod as soon as possible and hosting can easily go to a russian site as it did for those removed Ashley RE4R mods. So far they've already done some recent damage to the SINGLE PLAYER Mega Man Collections by changing the DRM so the only mods that currently work are text mods.

Well they are already doing that in game banana and nexus so this just another territory claiming that they're conquered by esg points.

If I buy a game, then I should be able to do whatever I wish, including, but not limited to, breaking it. You could say that the developers releasing patches to appease the morally prejudiced are “mods,” but since they are made by the makers of the game, it’s just a new feature. Still the same action, though.

This is ludicrous if they want to keep making money. If they think they can keep fucking over their fans and expecting them to buy shit, then they have another thing coming. There aren’t infinite numbers of stupid, ravenous, bloodsucking parasitic fans who they can leech off of forever, either. Eventually, even their attention spans go to some other product and then it no longer cares about the thing they were doing before…

But yeah, at the end of the day, I am against this- not because of stupid censorship practices (that is to be expected at this point)- but because it’s just another pathetic attempt at depriving the buyer of their creative control.

And an added insult to injury that is they'll remove whatever is offensive by their constant updated ambiguous standard much like skull-girls and nothing will be done to protect the consumers who have their cosmetics be deleted as well destroy the storyline.

Let's not get all mopey and conspiracy theorist about it, guys. We don't know if Capcom are going to seriously enforce these rules or not. I've recently learned they've threatened to take down sexual mods back in 2021, but nothing really came out that.

At that time it was more of a threat towards paid mods like what DanteSDT makes.
