It was kind of inevitable they would fall, they turned into such pompous politically-driven shitheads after the 2016 election and it started creeping into a lot of their works. Once they lost the edginess of earlier Red VS Blue and RWBY started getting terrible from Volume 5 onward, I knew things were going to get worse.

Then the Vic Mignogna situation happened. I know I'm going to generate controversy by saying this, but.....I'm still skeptical of the entire situation and I think they really shouldn't have fired him based on accusations alone - let's be real here, that's kind of where all this snowballed and gave us the result we see now.

I think for the most part people weren't so much mad at VIC himself getting fired, but for what his situation represented - the idea that men can get their entire lives and careers destroyed so quickly by just accusations and hearsay without so much as any kind of actual criminal trial simply because "BELIEVE ALL WOMEN" or other such stuff. I don't recall how the defamation trial went in detail (the best TL;DR I've gotten was "Ty Beard fucked it all up"), but the entire situation and the obnoxious and unprofessional way many voice actors acted on social media in that whole fiasco really gave me Homer Badman vibes about the whole thing. Doesn't help that many of voice actors who accused him just started getting more and more obnoxious on social media, especially Jaime Marchie, so honestly even IF what they said about Vic was true, they're not doing a good job in other aspects at making me respect them all that much. Especially when a few of them were proven to be pretty scummy people themselves (Ryan Haywood for example).

As for RT's content, every season of RWBY after 3 (maybe 4) just felt like going back into an abusive relationship with how much the writing kept getting worse along with the fighting animation (which was CASH when Monty was still alive), Genlock failed HARD, Red VS Blue stopped being good when Burnie Burns stopped writing for it, Achievement Hunter just wasn't the same after Ray Navarez left, and to circle back to RWBY - they MIGHT have been able to get Volume 10 going if they didn't do TWO crossovers with DC universe that NO ONE asked for.

Rooster Teeth stopped being Rooster Teeth after around 2015 to 2016. I deeply miss what they used to be. But as for what they have been for the past decade? Good riddance.
