Last I knew, they didn't because they follow the "tag what you see" reasoning since tags are supposed to help you find what you want & avoid what you don't.

That mostly makes sense but having a trans tag specifically to specify that a character is canonically trans would still be useful the same way tags like "sisters", "cheating", or "spoiler" are useful. Because sometimes someone wants (or doesn't want) to see pictures for a trait that isn't actually visually represented in the picture. Like sometimes, sisters don't look similar at all but just knowing they are sisters makes the picture hotter to me.
