Because we don't have, you know, other things to do. Thousands of images to go through, lives and jobs offline.
And I have taken down non-Japanese artists that I LOVE, but took them down anyway.

If you find an image that is against our rules, flag it.

In that case, there should be a rule that prevents people with lives from being appointed as moderators in the first place, don't you think so?

That sounds rather difficult considering most users of this site (should be) 18+.
As I said, if you find an image you believe breaks a rule in the ToS, flag it for deletion.

I, for one, am glad this isn't working as intended if it means we won't lose some good artists for the sake of sticking to the status quo.

"Should be" indeed.

You have no idea how stupid this sounds, do you?

Not everyone has time to be on the internet on a pissing spree for uploaded images. There are practically millions of images to check through, and not everyone has the time to look through them all. If YOU are, however, then go on a pissing spree and flag every image, and I mean EVERY image that violates the TOS.

Ah, simmer down mate. It just a joke, alright?

Well, it was partially based on what happened in another forum I visit long time ago. They made a thread asking the users to give reasons of why they should become mods. One guy stated he was a college dropout with no life outside the forum and such he'd had plenty of time to take care of things. The fact he seemed to be online almost all the time served to drive the point home.

He was actually made a mod, to everyone's suprise. And to be fair, he was pretty good at it.

Well, I did say "not everyone", but sounds kinda sad at the same time.

Fine, I apologize... for something idk.

lol Japanese-only
Posted on: 12/28/10 08:39PM
The japanese-only rule is stupid.

If you really want to apply it, you should delete half of the images here because a lot of artists are just american/european in disguise, a lot of artist that people think are japanese are actually chinese or korean or ather azn (and don't come with the "all asians are the same" crap, please).

Not because they use a japanese name, write in japanese or have an account in Pixiv means it's automatically japanese, bros.

Besides there are a lot of amazing non-japanese artist that deserves to be showed to the world.

Yes yes, we know.

That's nice. Gelbooru does not allow art from non-japanese artists, when we find it, we remove it, if you want to run your own *booru that allows art from westerners, feel free. Gelbooru doesn't. Get over it.

Well... Ok bro but something tell me this is going to turn bad for the site...

I was lurking, this guy is chinese: http://gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...mp;tags=babycat&pid=0

He states that on both his Pixiv and deviantART profiles:
http://gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...mp;tags=babycat&pid=0
http://bird-z.deviantart.com/

And another one: http://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=961020

The guys who made this drawing are from Sweden and Spain:

http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=56052
http://yanoodle.deviantart.com/
http://zzgrst.deviantart.com/

If I find more, where should I report? (the report button doesn't seems to do anything since I have used it before to report images from paysites and repeated images...)
