I keep trying to change the "panties_around_leg" tag to "panties_around_one_leg" but the change isn't being made.

Or at least it isn't being made where I can see it. But the other tag changes I've made are working.

I just happened to have brought this issue up in the mod panel last night. It looks as if the alias for panties_around_one_leg -> panties_around_leg is in effect and in a serious way.

It seems it's preventing the tag change; I'm not sure if the aliases are supposed to work that way or not. Also, if you search for panties_around_one_leg, the results will only show images with the panties_around_leg tag.

This is the same issue with the after_sex -> aftersex alias as well as the souryuu_langley_asuka -> souryu_langley_asuka alias. Though at least with these two, you can make the change either way, but images you change to have after_sex or souryuu_langley_asuka tags will not appear when you search for them.

The panties_around_leg alias seems worse because you can't even change the tag to panties_around_one_leg now.

EDIT: the after_sex -> aftersex alias prevents change as well. I just tested on an image and changed aftersex to after_sex and it stayed as aftersex.

I learned about the souryuu_asuka_langley -> souryu_asuka_langley issue when I was going to work on changing it to the former tag because Danbooru uses souryuu and aliases souryu into it.

Yes, aliases are supposed to work this way. They were actually recently specifically recoded this way because of Yavie an issue caused by improperly using the mass tagger.

I've explained it before, but attempting to perform a tag edit in direct contradiction to an aliased tag (for example, aftersex -> after_sex while we have the alias after_sex -> aftersex active) will completely remove its ability to appear in searches. This has been fixed by not allowing you to perform a tag edit to switch the tags around.

I'll take this opportunity to remind all of the moderators:

The mass tagging tool isn't to be used lightly. It is a very powerful tool that can cause serious problems if you don't use it properly. make sure that when you use it you make certain that there isn't an alias that it could break, and that it really isn't contrary to tagging policy. The tool isn't quite as dangerous as the mass deletion tool, but please treat it with just as much respect and caution.

Thanks for the info. I have a few images in my favorites that have the panties_around_one_leg tag. I'll be sure to change them to the panties_around_leg tag so that they appear in tag searches.

Typically when we use a series title as a modifier, we use only the base series title. We only use the specific series if more than one character shares the same name but each one only appears in certain shows of a series.

Also, all the other characters of this show have the _(jewelpet) on D-booru, this includes all the characters in jewelpet_tinkle, so to be consistent, it should be sara_(jewelpet).

This isn't the first time we've gone against D-booru with this tagging pattern: they have kanon_(wild_arms_2) and I was allowed to change it to kanon_(wild_arms) here because it fits the Gel pattern of tagging.

That's going to require maintaining a lot of exceptions, or just letting them get fragmented, since I have read here that aliases don't work on posts coming fron Danbooru.

I added the tag cheek_peek to several pictures but it was changed to gluteal_fold. While I understand why the tag was changed, I'd like to explain why cheek_peek is more suitable.

The tag cheek_peek wasn't meant to describe the actual fold in the butt, it was meant to describe the act of seeing the butt in the gap between a girl's legs from a frontal viewpoint. I guess they wanted one tag to fit all angles. Though there is something worth looking into in your explanation. Partly because the tag you want to keep is not even technically a gluteal fold in the first place... It is just an ass that is large enough to hang low so you can see it from the front... not the fold at all.

I THOUGHT Danbooru HAD a tag or pool for it.... or used to. Everyone on Gelbooru seems to remember seeing a description of this somewhere but no one can remember where!?
