My local news network decided it was time to scare everyone by telling them that diet sodas were causing heart attacks. They kind of talked about it as though it would be incentive to convince people to stop drinking soda altogether.

Well, they say they don't understand the link between cardiac arrests and diet soda completely just yet. But I doubt this scare will get people to stop all soda. They are just going to turn back to the unhealthy originals.

I bet I can find a link for scientists though. I'm going to continue to drink diet soda because... another thing that causes heart attacks is being a fatass. A lot of the heart attack deaths are probably related to obese people who made that diet switch a little too late.

But they still made the change in time for coroners to see a diet coke in their hand at the moment of death.
