True, but there are some circles we don't know the artist(s) for yet. circle_anco being an example. Oh yes, that reminds me.

Danbooru does have the artist listed for circle_anco as Tori on the artist page, but for some reason keeps using circle_anco:

I've been meaning to ask permission to change the tag here to tori_(circle_anco).

I've done the same for hanainu -> hanainu_(orange_bullet) and q -> q_(behind_moon): I did that for those two because for both those artists, their images either had their actual name, their circle tag, or both, so needed consolidation. There are also characters named q, so they had to be separated.

Every artist in a circle should get their own tag regardless actually. You make it sound as if they would have to all be tagged to every image with the circle tag.

You'd still just tag the artists who created that image as you've always done before. I don't think it is a problem.

Though I can't find Atelier_Kaguya on Danbooru so maybe that is the road they've taken for some strange reason. That or they are using another name for it and the alias didn't work.

The problem with using a circle tag when there is already an artist tag is that it's redundant and unnecessary. It makes more sense to just list the circle they're in on the wiki page, like Danbooru does.

I've heard no objections, so I'll make the artist tag change of circle_anco -> tori_(circle_anco) to have one less circle tag around here.

Hello. I was directed here by Jerl in chat regarding some tags that seem to vanish periodically (a mod appears to be deleting them). The tags in question are: ballbusting, cbt.

I am told that the former is undesirable because it is slang, the latter because it is an abbreviation. That seems sensible. But I don't think these tags should be deleted so much as they should be aliased to something more acceptable. A general search for "testicles torture" or "penis torture" returns far, far more general results than someone searching for these things is after, and there's not really a good way to narrow it down as things stand.

I sort of see what you mean but the way things work here would make this more the subject of a pool.

None of those tags are used nor aliased/implicated either here or at Danbo. Even a search for femdom/guro/abuse etc. turn up few results. Excessive CBT would be against our ToS anyway.

I really can't support the idea of using pools instead of tags for things like this, at least until the pools system is massively overhauled. Most people probably don't even realize that pools exist, much less know how to use them. And even if they do, they're quite a pain to add stuff to. On top of that, there is no easy way to even find the pool.

We've gone though this with other tags already. oppai_loli was one thing since using a breast size tag and the tag "loli" would still get you many of the results, but the same is not true for a tag string like [[torture penis]].
