I used to have one until my computer died on me... I miss it a lot :( You would open up the program and you would type the tag of the character you wanted to download and it would get all the pictures off of gelbooru. I can't find it anymore. So do any of you have a new one? Thanks.

My favorite is Grabber, but last I checked they didn't update for the new API authentication.

Graber, which I believe is also called nekopaw, hasn't been updated in three years but it continues to work for me. It stopped working after the crap with the API but it operates soundly now.
Actually, there may be some continued activity in its development now but the ancient copy I have works fine.

That is absolutely incorrect. Grabber was always in active development, with the latest release being Dec. 1, 2015. The previous release before that was just a few days after the API change (though they hadn't fixed for it at that point), and before that it's been updated once or twice a month since 2014.

i use(used since my hdd is full) the Danbooru Downloader made by Nandaka.Despite the name it works with gelbooru.The way you log in into gelbooru is a bit weird with dd but it works.

I've been using a copy from Google Code which has not been updated in three years, if it has been continued elsewhere, okay. However the antiquated version I have inexplicably works despite not being updated for the API change. I'd take it the code just spoofs the referral as a matter of course or is tangential with bad programming.

A little update, I actually downloaded the grabber2 hosted on Github and can affirm that it allows me to download from Gelbooru. Also I'm really liking this app, it has a lot of power. Being able to cross-search on every booru is quite useful in tracking down everything an artist has put out.
For anyone who had the same problem as me, this may help: The project readme advises that you download and unzip NPUpdater.zip to run the executable — instead of this, you should download the zip of the whole project and locate the release folder and then graber2. I still however get a cryptic ssl library error.
