vivian james and drawfag

This is a western character without notoriety outside of image boards. All of the artists are guaranteed known western or anonymously uploaded from westerners. Aren't these images in violation of the no-western rule blatantly and need to be purged?

Same reasoning applies closely to the drawfag tag and I wonder what is the policy regarding these images.

I don't think the pictures tagged with vivian_james or drawfag meet any reasonable quality threshold.

I also find the quality of those images to be lackluster. We shouldn't expect the staff to take action against them on behalf of the few people who feel this way though. I'm sure the majority of the userbase is pro-western art at this point.

Blacklisting pools is in the trac ( gelbooru.com/index.php?page=tracker&s=view&id=572 ). I reckon if it is ever implemented, those who don't wish to see western illustrators' works can band together and throw them all in a pool and then blacklist it.

>claiming drawfags produce low-quality art
Sure, some of them might, but there are plenty of exceptions

I think these are fairly good quality and certainly relevant to Japanese culture.

They are always open to review but I don't see a mass purge happening any time soon.

There is no rule against original characters, no matter who they belong to or where they're from, and a majority of Vivian images are drawn in an Eastern-leaning style

I wrote a little something up addressing things in this thread as well as quoting what people have said in previous discussions but I've decided not to post it. The ambivalence on the issue of the rule on Japanese artists seems so rife that continuing to broach the topic seems to be a fruitless endeavor.

edit: accidentally said the ambivalence was rife with ambivalence....
