In this moment Im using a Kana to Romaji Converter by Sycotheras. But what's the best way to get their names according to your experience? Or is neccesary to learn Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana?

We usually go with the names Danbooru uses. If the artist has posts on here already you can IQDB them to see if it has an artist tag.

Else, if new artist, you can try Danbo's guidelines.

There is no way to search for comments by any search criteria. I have been told by lozer that he has no intention of implementing this feature.

It currently isn't possible to search in a user's favorites, but it is planned.

My meth for now is:

1. Looking for in Tag List the pixiv nickname or username
*nickname in romaji*
*username*
(both with asterisks)

2. If noone hasnt results, I search some pics from pixiv artist works with IQDB, if one of them do match, we get the name from gelbooru tags.

3. If the last one hasnt results, I assume the artist is missing on gelbooru and add a new name (in pic tags and list tags) with this syntax:
nickname_(username)

If is difficult to translate the nickname, then only add:
username

Is ok?


It would be great if someone develops an application to facilitate the task.
