Why are people soooo bad at tagging on this site? (this goes for danbooru and other sites like this, except for e621)
Like seriously. I tag: "<whatever I'm searching for> -penis -male", and still even with -penis and -male I still see images with males and/or penises. On some images I can understand, but those that obviously have males or penises in them are inexcusable.

Seriously, learn to tag properly people, it's so annoying.

With an account, you're free to take better tagging in to your own hands. If everyone had your work ethic, there would be no tags at all.

jacktavish: it's possible that the tag "male" is used differently than you think.

"male" should only be used for images with only males. If there are any females at all, the tag doesn't apply and shouldn't be used. To remove all images with males, regardless of whether there are also females present in the image, use "-1boy -multiple_boys".

Turns out that even basic-quality tagging is a massive amount of work for 3 million pictures.

I spent an occasional entire day just doing tagging. And it's like... not hard... just really boring.

Because of course it is.


Given the amount of edits my profile says I made even with that in mind, I'm amazed at non-bot users with 10k plus edits, let alone 100k or more. (Then again, I've not gone on a tag spree in years now)

No, it shouldn't be used at all. We use "male_focus".

People tagging non-crossdressing buff guys as traps.

Yeah.

Which makes no damn sense since "male" is quicker to input and was the original tag we used for male centric images in the first place.
