Add to favorite removed?
Posted on: 03/16/17 06:29PM

Hi I am a new user to the site and signed up to add favorites, but this feature seems to have recently been removed?

Doesn't appear to be removed, I can still add favorites.

I'm going to guess they have set it up to remove them if you use adblockers. They recently set up stuff to not work with them active.

In which case, BOO! After the time I got a virus after allowing adverts here, never again. I'm not risking my PC again.

Time to wait for someone to reveal some lines to bypass this.

Still there for me. UBlock is off.

Wrong. We didn't change anything about the pagination. EasyList added a new filter that specifically blocks the pagination.

All I know is that it has been breaking for me lately, and that people without adblockers can still use it. Makes sense to assume it is simply another site adding anti adblock code.

At any rate, sticking with adblock stuff on all sites at this point. Better to go without features or even a site than risk my PC.

Leave the site or wait for some code to bypass the block on that. No site is worth risking a PC I spent a couple of thousand dollars (NZ) on.

Why should they? I never said they should. I just don't see any reason I should accept adverts. Malicious adverts can happen anywhere, so I won't accept adverts now. I know they have happened on GameFAQs and SteamGifts, both sites where I spend much more of my time, but fortunately adblock software means I don't deal with that risk on those sites. As mentioned, it happened here before when I gave this site a chance a few years ago. Once bitten, twice shy.

And you disabled your adblock to post this ;o

Still enabled. Right now, the only thing I can't do is favourites.

Eye cancer can happen to if you are looking at the screen right now, maybe you should turn your thousand dollar computer off and trow it out the window because its a unacceptable risk.
