Yeah, the only differences between the Switch and Wii U versions I've heard were that the Wii U version runs at slightly lower framerates at certain points, but that's never been a problem for me.

And that's why I'm always hesitant for buying new consoles. Technical issues like that, and they usually have a mediocre selection of launch titles.

Like I said, those framerate drops mostly happen in villages. The framerate is correct when it matters most.

That aside, hope the game does well. By how it sounds, the hate/controversy is being fueled by an angry, small group of people. Isn't that YouTuber middle eastern, anyway? That said, what ever happened to that one kickstarter game, "A Hat in Time"? Had a lot of hype then it just died off. Also that fan project Mother 4 also has gone quiet. In addition, still mad about Megaman Legends 3 being cancelled!! That was the pushing point in 2011 that sold me on the 3DS. And what is up Konami's ass to cancel Silent Hills? One of the greatest horror games of this generation to not be released!!! When is SoulCalibur 6 going to be announced, it's been 5 years since the last entry to the series! Tired of Namco putting all their resources into the juggle-fest that is Tekken. Argh!! So many games gone into the dark.

But seriously, I've been waiting for Tekken 7 for a long time. Pretty much since Tekken 6, because it wasn't that good. At least Soulcalibur 5 was good. Though what I'm even more hyped for is Tekken X Street Fighter. That game was supposed to come soon after SFxTK, which means 2012 or 2013. Now that Tekken 7 is coming in June, it'll get more delayed... again...

Also, Street Fighter EX 4 by Arika announced! It looks great. And that also means Skullomania will be back.

My friend and I wanted so badly for SoulCal 5 to be good, but it just felt rushed. It was created by an entirely new development team. The older programmers been around since Tekken 1 and made SoulBlade as a sort of spin off. SC4 was their last entry before passing it along. SC5 botched up the roster by taking out a myriad of fighters like Talim, Taki, Sophitia [Now Edge Master Clone], Zasalamel [He had a Scythe!! How awesome is that?!], Rock, Xianghua, Kilik [Also Edge Master Clone now] and so on. You can also play as Edge Master who plays like Edge Master!!!

It felt gutted; they cut all the just-frames moves in half of everyone as well as shortening the combos and over-simplified them. There were no moves that had A+K in it because they thought it'd be too hard to press for new players. And what the hell is an energy meter doing in SC?? They just took old moves from past games and made it an "energy cost" move to further shorten the moves available to characters. They call slapping a guy in the air pressing "BB" as a "combo".

Also numerous stun-lock combos were removed on everyone. And the Microtransactions out the ass for outfits!! They locked some content on the disc, only to pay to unlock what you already own. Save for Natsu's theme, most of the OST is unremarkable and gets pretty samey. In past entries, each track felt distinct with added character instead of just being an orchestral wall of sound. I'm fearful for Tekken 7 may run into some ruts that's befallen the SoulCalibur series. Haven't played it, but SC:Lost Swords was a sloppy microtransaction nightmare. Guys, I just really love SoulCalibur and want the best for the series, it's been my jam since the Dreamcast. Not a fan of what Bandai-Namco has been doing.

Rant aside, what would you say is better, NieR or Persona 5 and why? Been debating on what to get my brother for his B-day but haven't the time anymore to sit and play them.

SC5 was good. The cast change didn't bother me. It reminds me how Street Fighter 3 New Generation was booed because it didn't have the classic cast. But in the end Third Strike is considered the best Street Fighter ever even nowadays.

Also yes, Namco are making their games easier for the casual audience to play their games, but that's the same with all FGs: Marvel 3, Street Fighter 5, King of Fighter 14, Tekken 7 (or so I heard for TK7)... Complaining about changes in a new FG is stupid, since you could just keep playing the same FG again.

I don't know why you're freaking out about Tekken 7, the game is out since 2015... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tekken_7 And seriously? You're using Lost Swords as a reference? It's not even a real Soulcalibur game. And they did Tekken Revolution already (which at least was better than Lost Swords because you could play against people, but it was still shit) so there's no need to fear another thing like that.
Tekken 7 looks awesome and it's going to have Akuma, among other awesome things. And I'm glad Namco and SNK are not going the SF5 way.

It's a fighting game: who cares? But you wanna know? I downloaded the Tekken 7 soundtrack some time ago, and it's great. I still listen to it from time to time. I get pretty hyped.

To answer your question, it depends on your taste in games. Persona 5 is a turned based RPG, Nier is an action RPG.
