It's not that I have never played souls, because I have played it for about 1000 hours altogether, it's that I'm just burnt out on souls and really was hoping for something other than dark souls with a horse.

ok so what's wrong, there isn't really a sOuLs-LiKe bY frOmSoFt every year I think

ur like "oh no the next souls-like is going to be a souls-like" lol weird who do u think ur doing a favor

lol one more thing if you did put this many hours in dark souls but don't like dark souls or whatever then chances are you're still going to play the fuck out of elden ring too lol

Playing "Alien Legacy" in-browser.

Short version - you are the Captain of a colony ship arriving in a new star system, trying to let humanity escape a genocidal enemy. Build up colonies in-system to make sure humanity doesn't go extinct due to that genocidal enemy.

The good news - another colony ship (with a better engine) arrived ~21 years before you, and had some nicer tech in it.

The bad news - when you arrived in-system, there were no other human colonies present or detectable in-system.

Your mission - find out what happened to the prior expedition that had more people and was better equipped than you. Don't die

Been playing Chivalry 2 with a couple of friends.

Epic Games is dogshit and I don't think it will ever not be dogshit (assuming you're playing it on the PC), but that aside, the core gameplay is pretty fun- and it has a surprising amount of depth for a 'swing big metal object at guy wearing different colors' game. There is a pretty notable lack of maps at the moment, though, even if they are adding more.

Still, decent PvP games are something of a rarity nowadays.

Recently bought an Elgato so I'll be able to stream our Switch games.

edit: we're also playing Donkey Kong Country 3 on my SNES, but idk if that's worth mentioning since like, everyone has beaten that game 100 times in their life.
That said I recently got myself a SHIT-TON of Japanese Game Boy cartridges, including Donkey Kong GB 1&2 just for the heck of it (also both Capcom Zelda games).
Also got Tales of Phantasia (English GBA) for rather cheap (I love playing on my pearl pink SP).

Tetris 2 (SNES) is pretty dope and I don't know why I haven't heard anyone talk about it at all. I've seen it and even rented it as a kid, but never understood the mechanic.
It's pretty engaging and challenging and I haven't got to the checkpoint where it finally gives you progress passwords each 10-stages or so, but I plan to complete that mode soon (if I ever get time for that).

edit2: forgot to say, I also got Mario Tennis 64/GB JP and Ogre Battle 64 JP aaaand DK64 JP
(rest of JP shit I got is listed in the page I linked on top of post)

Going back and forth between Minecraft on Xbox 360 and Microsoft Train Simulator on my 17-year old laptop. On the rare occasions I have time to do so. Used to play the Ace Combat series (AC04 was the best, hands down) and Robotech:Battlecry for hours on my PS2, but that's in storage.

Correct, that's Lynn Minmei. I had a crush on her when I first watched the series, no joke.

Yes she is. And she makes an appearance in one stage of Robotech:Battlecry, where you have to escort her to a concert and defend the venue from alien attack. That was a killer level to get through, now that I think about it.

Incidentally, that was one of the things I liked about that game - the player character and the supporting ones were original, but the TV series characters made occasional appearances. Made you feel like there was more going on than just the plot of the game.
