How do y'all sort your porn?
Do you rank or narrow down your collection? If so, have a preferred way of doing so?
I've been thinking about improvements upon the algorithm I use to rank saved images.
Can anyone recommend any software useful for this sort of thing?

I use this elaborate system of tags and meta tags. I think it's called Gelbooru or something?

When I download images depends on the type they are:
Normal: sorted by franchise, memes, cool looking images, references, programming, computer tips, etc.
Porn: furry, hentai, real life, all mixed in video, and "the best ones".

Some times I make new sub folders because some are kinda too diverse, like my evangelio folder which has both like a thousand memes and a thousand fanarts, or folders dedicated to animation franchises, videogames, and indie videogames.

I just like sorting the images I find on social media and save even tho I'm never again looking at them.

Jokes aside, we can definitely improve upon that system though. Let's say you have 1k images in your favorites. You can't look at all at once, so there's value in condensing your collection to those which "do it" the most for you, by whatever standard that may be. Presumably, if you were to randomly be shown one of two images from that set, you would (barring edge cases) prefer one to the other. Extrapolate this to all pairs in the set and you've ranked your favorites, not only allowing better recommendations to you but also providing the owner of such a platform potentially valuable consumer data. In your case, whatever happens to be "good for you" may not be at all generalizable enough to warrant the creation of a tag or otherwise. Pools are great for this, yet lack many of the features which would make something like this convenient for the user. I'm a software engineer who'd be down to dedicating some time to contributing some coding hours towards this or a similar end just to give back for the convenience this site has been for me. Feel free to DM me if you'd like some free labor, though of course I currently wouldn't be able to DM back because of the stupid level system.

I have to say that the sankaku is better than gel in terms of sorting funtion.

You can actually sort by popular. Just add "sort:score:desc" to your search as a tag, and it'll list all of the posts by score from high to low.
