User Uploading commissioned artwork without permission
Posted on: 04/08/24 11:16AM

So I know this is a public image gallery and there have been these in the past but this one is personal because I paid for this shit myself,
now Xero(Xerw tag on this site) is a friend of mine and I do pay him to draw my fetishes from time to time, I asked him if he posted these and he did not, and we are unsure how they got out. However this is the 2nd time I've had to flag these or ask them to be deleted and this person just keeps reuploading them
I don't know exactly what to do tbh I just come here for GFL or PGR art but here is the user I don't know if there's a report system but yeah they might be posting other commissioned art but idk gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...p;s=profile&id=512678

May I ask why it's a big deal that your commissioned art was uploaded publicly?

To some people it is to increase sentimental value of the art that is paid for. Having it easily made copies does devalue it as well disrespect the buyer and the artist.

Still can't really blame the user for loading them assuming he's not the guy who could break into someone's account like the pirate sites does and upload their work. Many uploaders here are just bottom feeders going to public sites and distributing art and have no knowledge on how to break into accounts.

If you or your friend posted them somewhere they ended up here the same way a vast majority of uploads end up here--someone saved them and uploaded them. Very few uploads are by the artist themselves.

If they were posted behind a paywall (Patreon, etc) that's against TOS and you can flag them for deletion with proof (generally a link to the paid post).

What might be better either way is for your friend to submit a DMCA: gelbooru.com/index.php?page=dmca&s=index

Remember it has to be the artist who submits it.

We will not delete the posts unless they violate our Terms of Service or the original artist files a DMCA form.

The user will not be reprimanded unless they repeatedly post images that violate our Terms of Service.

While we respect the artist's copyright rights; anything posted to this site is the property of the community.

Keep in mind, it's not always private people asking for art commissions, either.

I know of this when it comes to the vtuber side of art and rigging. When actual corporations are paying artists for assets to legally own and use for their talents.

Then you're literally getting into copyright infringement.

I got my answer, I'll give him the links to the DMCA form and artworks

So we also pinned down the discord server they likely stole it from, that being SCF which is a PGR discord we're trying to solve it internally there too

I'd say this is a bigger problem than having a commission get upload. Sort out your friend group and whatnot if private information keeps getting shared without permission.
