No plot? Are you insane?! I think you need to look a little harder. The plot in the animu isn't made as clear (Since it's an abortion of the superior manga version), but the main plot is as follows:
1) DearS crashland on Earth (in Japan, surprise, surprise)
2) DearS do homestay programs
3) Takeya meets Ren
4) Ren becomes Takeya's slave (Chooses him as her master)
5) Ren embarasses the hell out of Takeya
6) DearS learn about "love"
7) Takeya's long absent father takes away Ren to use as a sacrifice
8) Lo decides to go apocalyptic, claiming that "Humans are running out of love"
9) Takeya stops the apocalypse by screaming "Ren! I LOVE YOU!" at the space shuttle that was to send Ren away from the planet
10) DearS regain the ability to reproduce (sexually)
11) ?
12) PROFIT!
