So Gelbooru has such a Japan fetish that it demands character tags be written in the "correct" Japanese way, yet it can't even agree with itself on how to spell Asuka's name. Irony much?

The problem to Asukas name is probably related to where the translation of the western name comes from.

The Soryu Asuka Langley version for an example was used in the German translation by Carlsen Comics.
Maybe the english speaking translators ( or who ever choose the Souryuu Asuka Langley version ) took a different approach because of the phonetics?
