I'm looking at this, and after analyzing by gen, it's like this:
-Classic Red is in his typical "Don't care" mode, while Classic Blue is holding him in a "your so cool" way;
-Gold is trying to fit in the Gen 1 party, while Classic Silver is pissed with Crystal;
-Brendan and May are happy to be Wally free :D;
-Red and Gary are having a typical 11 year old guy-fight, and Leaf is trying to get Hoenn love;
-Silver, with new sexier look, is being groped a lot :D;
-Cheren and Bianca look like a couple, while Touya, Touko and N are having a triangle love gathering.

N is far from being a villain. He's more of an anti-hero or something. As for why he's here, it's because he's N, 'nuff said. He's just a very, very, very popular character who has a prominent role.

...And a Rubik's Cube. Anyone who can solve one of those things deserves some recognition.
