This is how most optimists hope the story ends. I'm skeptical though. Something tells me that all of Team 7 is going to die, or if there are any survivors, it's likely to be either Kakashi or Sakura.

if naruto does survive, they will never make him hokage. they will come up with some halfassed excuse about him not being mature enough or something. or in the worst case, konoha will trick him into breading with some kunoichi (Sakura, Hinata) and as soon as his 'wife' is pregnant with another uzumaki to put kurama into, Naruto will have an 'accident' on a mission and recieve a kunai in the back of the head.

You know they can put Kurama in anyone, right? So if they really wanted someone else to be its host, they could have done it when he was young and couldn't fight back. They didn't though, so that makes your point moot. He probably will survive, this is a shonen manga and the main character almost always lives. It's everyone else we need to worry about.

If that where true that anyone could hold the nine tails, they would have killed Naruto along time ago. Only someone of Uzumaki blood can hold the chakra of Kurama. And anon5's description is a more realistic take of the end, and probably would happen if it wasn't a shonen manga
