Umm... I'm sorry...? But, I'd just like everyone to know that: I didn't actually physically go to Hitomaru's house > get on his computer > go to his source file and smudge out his artwork. Understand that *this* is simply an copy with an alteration, and am sharing it with whomever likes it better. I provided it as a service for those who love Hitomaru's work (like me) but would also enjoy it a speck more without the distracting horn occupying the picture. I do not intend to force this pic upon anyone. I suppose I made the mistake by not posting a link to the original image in my first comment for those who still want the horn in it. Here is a link for those offended -> www.gelbooru.com/index.ph...&s=view&id=757503
I am sorry for those who have taken offense; I meant no harm. I truly appreciate Hitomaru. I love the detail, the color, the texture and darn-close realism put into the work (As some of the other's have stated on the original image posted here.)

not the other guy but if you cared about his artwork it may have been good to actually link to the original.

personally, though, i am against any edits other than good quality decensoring. any edits, though, are probably against the gelbooru tos.

Edits to images are not against the Terms of Service. Unless the edits were performed very poorly, or if it were poorly JPEG-compressed to the point where artifacts are clearly visible, there is absolutely no reason to remove edits such as this from Gelbooru.

Fuck anon 1. Edit is good and it's something that I agree with. People make changes to characters all the time, giving them bigger boobs, a dick, hell even changing their skin color. In the end, someone will always prefer something over another and having multiple variants of a picture is never a bad thing.

While I don't like original art to be changed when its not yours, I also must admit that it will happen and the outcome won't always be bad. In this situation I like the horn, but it doesn't look bad without it either. My only question is; if you changed it, shouldn't you use the photoshop tag? That way at least people know its been changed from the original.

What makes posting this pic trivial is that you said your respect the original artist...yet you feel compelled to modify (deface) his work. That's not showing any respect for the original artist and in fact is criticising their work for not making it how YOU wanted it. What you are doing may not be illegal, but it is unethical and egotistical.
If expressing you own person interests is so important, you should just make you own work from scratch instead imposing your own brand of censorship on someone else's work. And yes, I will call what you are doing 'censorship' since it differs very little from, say, removing the head of the NKVD from a picture with Stalin because he fell out of favor.
Removing items from other's artwork you don't like and posting it is the same thing.

I agree with Anon954387...This kind of crap doesn't show ANY respect for the orginal artist's work. This might as well be advocating the manipulation and posting of pics with only slight deviations that only suits one's own view...like editing out a Coke can and replacing it with Pepsi, just because that's what you're more partial to. It's senseless and pisses in the face of the creator of this work, despite you admiration for them. This would be a text-book example of revisionism whereas you don't like what the reality is, so you elected to manipulate it to suit your views, rather than doing what MOST ARTISTS DO when one thinks of fanart, and that is to follow Anon's statement making your own pic that is completely original, not a bastardization. All you are doing with this is advocating censorship and plagarism, and just taking up space.
We would prefer pics to be DEcensored, not censored further.
