Digimon was like a tamagotchi(virtual pet, Japan and other Asian countries were overpopulated and that was the cheapest way to have a personal pet). You feed the digimon, clean their craps and leave them whilst they are sleeping. I doubt kids nowdays are having a fun like that! Then again it's only 15 somewhat years ago...
