Yeah, from the outset with this one I decided that I was going to go for "good enough" rather than "you could never tell it was censored if you didn't know" because to be frank I'm not that good. I'm no artist, I'm an idiot with a copy of GIMP and a hard-on.
With colour I can use GIMP's "heal selection" plugin and tweak the output by hand, and I generally get something okay. When it's just black and white lineart like this, there's a lot less wiggle room - I was able to use the fact the censor bar wasn't 100% opaque to my advantage, but it's much easier to spot the imperfections.

It's not that your lineart was inaccurate... just look at the lines and how jagged-looking they are. Gimp's got a brush tool, when you redraw you should use it instead of the pencil. The brush tool will anti-alias, so you won't have that obvious telltale pixelization.

I didn't redraw anything. :P
The censor bar in the original is slightly transparent, so the lines underneath show through. I used the fill tool to remove the bar itself, and then painted over the antialiasing dots that were left over. You're mistaking slightly darker lines where the censor bar used to be (less contrast means less prominent antialiasing) for lines drawn with the pencil tool.
