@bigb: Gaara is several times more dangerous than Neji. Neji wouldn't have actively attempted to kill Naruto. Kakashi has also said that he's not the greatest teacher and Jiraiya is arguably better.

Naruto beat Neji and Gaara in the end regardless.

Stop redefining canon to fit your dislike of Kakashi. Sasuke doesn't cut himself and Kakashi doesn't think Naruto's worthless. If you take the flipside of that, Kakashi was also in on Jiraiya training Naruto and purposely gave Ebisu to him so the meeting could happen.

Ebisu was there because Kakashi didn't want to train a failure. Jiraiya was there because Orochimaru was there AND to find 'insperation' for his shitty smut. And what EXACTLY did Jiraiya train him in? Summoning techniques that he couldn't use in the tournament. a chakra control technique that Kakashi should have taught him MONTHS AGO and he removed the blocking seal. nothing else.

Naruto would have been better off if he stayed with Ebisu or trained on his own

How would Naruto train on his own with Sage-Mode training or Bijuu-Training? Students can't train themselves on their own unless their geniuses and Prodigies (ones that appear once in a generation).

That's what Jonin-Mentors are for. Sure, he Mastered Shadow-Clones and it's Multiplyed-Version as well as the Rasengan.

But he there's no way he would Master Rasen-Shuriken, Sage-Mode and Kurama's Chakra all on his own.

anon 7 was speaking about the chunin exams. and honestly he wouldn't have needed Kurama's chakra if jiraiya had taught him real ninjutsu instead of wasting the three year training trip on trying to get him to control something that was virtually impossible to control. Kurama's chakra was split in half unlike EVERY other jinchuriki, and the bad half was sealed into him with out the yin chakra the yang was nothing but a corrosive poison. Jiraiya was a Sanin who taught his father, there was no way in HELL that he couldn't have taught him for real.

Sage mode was taught to him by the toads.

Rasen-Shuriken was 99% self taught.

His yellow chakra cloak was gained by subduing Kurama with the help of his mother NOT his 'sensei' Kakashi or his 'Godfather' Jiraiya.
