The original cast was pretty awesome with some interesting designs. The additions seem sort of like shoe-horned in stereotypes and very generic designs.

Wrong, thats Mirai in her shinobi outfit, she is also a member of Homura's Crimson Squad. Also she doesn't actually have cat ears thats just a headdress that makes up part of her goth lolita shinobi outfit.
