Well Victory Greymon is actually a more refined wargreymon having exchanging his two dramon destroyer claws for his dramon destroyer sword, so this might be a rendition of the transition between the two

Imperialdramon's still Imperialdramon no matter which of its 3 forms is used.

WarGreymon is no longer WarGreymon once it becomes VictoryGreymon. because the name change signifies an entirely different digimon, rather than some sort of form change.

now, i'd agree with your point, if say it was more like Wargreymon Victory Mode, or something..

Yeah it is a wargreymon with victorygreymon's sword. the head, back and gauntlet are not victorygreymons
