Anon1, I loved Jack. He was my favorite part of Rise of the Guardians, and I was obsessed with him for a while. I saw Rise in theaters, and then when Frozen came out, I went and saw that. Before I even saw all the art of Jack and Elsa together, I made the comparison.
It's not just their powers, either. They both have very difficult lives and/or difficult things happen to them, while they're both shunned, ignored and/or ridiculed. Early in their lives, they have something important to them taken away. They both get cast out because of their weak point causing something bad to happen.
But yes, there will be hype about things you don't like. I mean, I despise sports (especially football), and it's fucking everywhere and flung in my face. I also hate babies and little kids, but they're also all over the place.

OK, here's an attempt at a considered comment...
Elsa makes perfect sense, as Anna's cool big sis. Sorry, couldn't resist the punnage. :P
Rapunzel I understand, as a lot of people (myself included) have the fanon that the two movies are meant to cross over within the Disneyverse anyway. Plus apparently she and Eugene are visible amongst the guests attending the coronation in a very brief camo. So if she makes sense, then Eugene does too.
Tarzan is...why the heck is he there, actually? He's the son of a British lord (Lord Greystoke), and it doesn't really make much sense for him to be related to the others. Plus Tarzan is set in the early 1900s, whereas the others are more accurately placed in the mid 1800s.
And then...Jack, really? He makes even less sense than Tarzan, AND he's not even Disney! (although quite a lot of people mistake him for Pixar which is also wrong, he's actually a Dreamworks character). So I can certainly understand Anna's confusion on his being there.
But eh, people will make random connections between stuff and there's nothing you can do about it except not like it and go do something you like more instead. ;)

Theories I love:
1. Rapunzel is Elsa and Anna's cousin, as the king of Corona is the brother of the queen of Arendelle.
2. The king and queen of Arendelle were sailing to Corona to attend the celebration of Rapunzel's return home, but sank.
3. Rapunzel and Eugene headed to Arendelle three years later not only for Elsa's coronation, but to pay their respects.
4. Rapunzel is Honey Lemon's ancestor, with the former's painting skills transferring to chemical knowledge to the latter.
5. The sunken ship Ariel and Flounder explored belonged to the king and queen of Arendelle.
