The reason of the delay - and probably future delays - is that Kenkou has announced new permits of use and forbade the main fansite where translations were made to post his works (long story short: he's been strongly disturbed by guro fanart over there and now thinks western audience might cripple the image of MGE universe). You can even see the source is no more 'monstergirlulimited' like before. Hope these guys doesn't screw things up...

So now, I'm not quite sure it can be posted here. But gelbooru doesn't actually republish art, does it? Anyway, here it is.

"Some people are into things I'm not? Better forbid half the fucking planet from translating and enjoying my work, then. Seems sensible to me."

Fucking moron. How can someone who has been on the internet for so long manage to still be so new to the concept of it? And is he somehow under the delusion that only westerners are into guro? Because he's in for a MASSIVE wake up call if that's the case.

Kenkou's certainly in for a massive wake-up call.

Guro is an ancient and beloved tradition in Japan!

Been a while since a non-succubi type monster-girl came out.

This girl seems based around the cartoon trolls rather than the scandinavian ones. You can tell the Kenkou watched "A troll in central park" and "Frozen" to come up with a flower-troll.

Distorted hands and feet, kind of creepy. I love tall but proportionate girls, like amazons.

Guys, they are his Characters. If he doesn't like what kind of fanart people of drawing of them, he has a right to request them to stop. Yeah, it is pretty harsh that he forbid people to repost and his work, and I'll be pretty disappointed if his works will no longer be able to be translated due to this, But don't bash the artist for his decision with his characters.

he doesn't like the whole "kill them and put them on sticks" shit that MGU was fond of, nor did he like their having translations worded specifically to enforce their grimderp view of his world. given that it's his stuff, he's quite in the right to take issue. if Word of God is that the setting isn't all rapedoom and xenocide, then so be it.

I seem to have put some things the wrong way, so here's a clearer info (for those who're interested):

1) Kenkou didn't cut his works for the rest of the planet, he only recalled his permisson from one site, while some others are still ok. Translations will hopefully be made on Monster Girl Redux in a normal schedule.

2) Well, it wasn't exactly guro, as it didn't have the porn/nude part - a user made some crappy picture with a monstergirl's head on a pike, and Kenkou bumped into it. (The worst part might be is that idiot had already insulted Kenkou before and was banned from the site by his request. But the staff eventually decided to forgive him - only for him to fucking do it again and make the staff look like betrayers for Kenkou.)

3) Actually, Kenkou has been in a squabble with western fans for some time now, so many people saw it coming. Main reasons being from translation misinterpretations, obtrusive emails with advices on how he should develop the universe, harsh criticism of some of his ideas like the whole 'corruption' thing - and up to racist insults and death threats. Also, the author made it clear he tries to present MGE as a utopian escapist fantasy world (like where Japanese salarymen could run from their 12-hour workdays), and so he strongly dislikes how it's turned into your-average-grimdark-hellhole or totally pro-Order by some western fellows. He's afraid they may ruin it for newcomers.

That seems to be it. Sorry for this wall of text.

Actually, it was only a small minority of users on MGU who see the MGE as a grim-dark setting. The general opinion of MGU's user base was that it was a paradise or utopian world; typical of an escapist fantasy. It's just that the Grim-Dark minority was also VERY vocal. In addition, KC's anger was in the fact that the MGU Staff allowed that kind of discussion; they believed they were acting with his wishes in mind, as he did previously state that his setting was open to interpretation and that he wanted people to "fill in the blanks" so to speak.

As to the "Guro shit" mentioned, those were the actions of a single user, and were not condoned by the staff.

Also, Monster Girl Redux is not the only site with hosting permissions; The Monster Multiverse is also permitted to host the setting info, but KC has officially put his support out towards MGR.

Most places ban guro, especially the hard-core stuff with blood and death so I dont know why most people would care unless your specifically look for it.

I can understand how a creator doesnt want alot of unwanted advice.

"grim-dark" world? what, people want JR Tolkien, but with monster girls? I dont like the numerous rehashings of the basic Succubi from around 7years (valkyrie, alice, imp, witch, familiar, etc) but I dont harass the author.

@Anon5
To clarify further, we the TMM can continue to host MGE content on the condition the translations' source material isn't from the MGU itself. Though we will use MGR's translations as permitted by their site admin (7 days after its release for the waiting period).
