The only joke I'm making is that nothing as jacked as Mega Swampert has any business getting Swift Swim. Meanwhile Mega Sceptile follows Blazekien's lead of utter majesty.

I honestly would not be surprised if the tail alone was why he gets lightning rod, but would he not also be the first pokemon to use it in a deliberately offensive capacity?

Lightning rod makes it so that Mega Sceptile can only be paralyzed by body slam and kills volt switching pokemon, it walls Rotom in any form.
