When I was a kid, we had a backyard pool. We'd sometimes get the hose, and try and use it as a air-hose. But the water pressure on our lungs would make it almost impossible to breath in. So yeah, she might not be 'fine'.
That said, she's not exactly deep. And the second she breaths in, she's going to float anyway.

@428 I dont think that the problem with your breathing hose was the water pressure. The problem was most likely the same why children can't really snorkel.
To be able to breath you need enough lung capacity to push out all the old air from the hose/snorkel, otherwise you just breath in the same old air time and time again. But since this tube is pretty thin I think it should be ok.
