I'm actually not that big of a fan of that Mei was retired in chapter 700. I mean how many years did Hiruzen and Onoki have their titles? She didn't look all that old in chapter 700.

Making it so there is only one female again. Kishi is also uncomfortable with female kages, but he adds one to not be called sexist. Besides, who would take the chair anyways? Akatsuchi? Think how retarded it looks when he sits on the chair and Kurotsuchi is his bodyguard.
