A lot of vegitarians eat eggs its mostly Vegans who don't. That said im pretty sure back when her interview was translated it specificaly said vegan with implications it was to make her meat better. As in general its better to eat a herbivore then a carnivore.

vegan = can't USE any animal products (food, leather, ivory, etc.)
vegetarian = can't EAT any animal products (none at all)
ovo-vegetarian = can't eat any animal products except egg
lacto-vegetarian = can't eat any animal products except dairy
pescetarian = can't eat meat except fish, pretends to be vegetarian (they're not vegetarian, fish IS meat)
you can get combinations like ovo-lacto-vegetarian
honey is a per-person choice and doesn't typically affect these categories
