I love how every single one of these gifs has someone posting lines from TFS.

^ They're almost as, if not more, popular than the source material. Love 'em or hate 'em - that's the truth.

Just saiyan.

RANT WARNING: One of my biggest concerns with Dragon Ball Super: Though I can appreciate the shimmer and shine that comes with today's animation processes, there's something simply wonderful about the sort of dingy, paper drawn and inked sort of texture you got with early Dragon Ball Z episodes. Now, that's not to say they were perfect, or even preferred at times... but I look at what's being shown and even though it's just recapping, I can't help but shudder. I fear the pandering to fan-service (not the sexy hot kind, but servicing fandoms) is going to soak DBS into something it should desperately avoid. We don't need another DBGT, even if some of it was good for some people; it was mostly bad for everyone else. We got a rocky Super Saiya-jin God mode that sparked ill repute in some. Then it went blue-haired with a funkier name. Which is even joked on in the manga now and I suppose we're supposed to call SSJ Blue(?). That's all well and good but... not... really. I dunno. I'm a fan. And I wonder what happened to the moments WITHOUT Goku. We get it, DBS is funnier, more akin to DB. Awesome. But even just more akin to early DBZ would do me just fine. I don't know where all this current plotting is going, but I'm seeing more Majin Buu style plots than say the tense, multi-tier staging of Namek or the Saiya-jin Saga. ... We can skip some of the elongated battles though. I'm cool with that. But they weren't all that; this clip above in and of itself sparks to mind the whole of the journey during their stay on Namek. A surreal hunt for dragon balls with multiple enemies, an active, personality filled boss, unique characters, combat styles, and those lush green fields. There, tfs quote, happy? Anyway, I miss it. And where DBS is sure to go right, I worry that doing so may take down a road that is so very wrong. Multi-verse is a go, it seems. And I've already read a super awesome fan version of that for a long time now. So... good luck, Mr. Toriyama. Good luck. I'm with you. Good or bad. But I'm seeing bad and hoping for good here... Sorry for the rant. Off to the paizuri section.
