Fuck Firefox. It's been slow as hell since about v2, and its developers grew dumber ever since.
Not that I want to suck some proprietary cocks or settle with a lesser customizability, but seriously.

Someone needs to implement a semi-sentient web browser in Lisp.

can vouch for the speed I got... it's your crappy computer, or a shitty connection... most likely a combination of them. get a good connection, then shell out about 500 USD worth of decent PC parts, and you shouldn't have any issues... hell, I paid about 480 for everything my PC has...
