It's only a minor detail in this context, but i do believe Izuna was Madara's only younger brother. All his other brother were older ones. Hashirama was the eldest sibling of his family, on the other hand...

I'm pretty sure his other brothers were younger as well. It's stated on Madara's Narutopedia page and Madara said "I couldn't protect them". Usually, it's the older brother who protects his younger siblings.
