Anon 2 : I would not call Mad Max anything new, since modern post-WW3 apocalypse are based on the Mad Max movies (even though they themselves did not make anything new either, they just made it a lot more popular back then).
check the mad_max tag here on Gelbooru, you'll get a glimpse of the theme i'm talking about. ;)
