Based on your last sentence before the parentheses, the original comment could have contained an insult directed at a user of the site. Those are disallowed, regardless of the reason.
Note that this only applies to insults directed at users of the site; insults directed at a series, character, artist, or even cosplayer (basically anything that counts as content on the site) will not be removed unless it violates other rules.

No idea. I didn't actually read through the comment thread; I just saw your comment asking about your deleted comment in the main comment listing. I'd have to ask the mod who deleted the comment if there's a particular reason for that. It's possible that yours was flagged for deletion and the mod who deleted it didn't look back at the rest of the comment thread either.
