Possible she uses a Glucose fuelled bio-battery, using fluids as a source of glucose, as a medium for the chemical process to take place and also as coolant.
She would then need to use the bathroom to remove the waste products of the bio-battery.

In real life this technology is still limited to being tested before being commercially sold.

She also looks quite adorable sat there too.

Reminds me of a simple rocket fuel made of sucrose and potassium nitrate called R-Candy. Could this be what's inside her E-Can?
